Overall the wedding was lovely- the whole day. I was so excited, not nervous and forgot to pee prior to the ceremony! LOL The chapel was packed with friends and family and totally full of love. We had taken Boy pictures and girl pictures prior to Chapel arrival- it was important to me that we didn't see one another before the service. I was so anxious to get the ceremony going- to smooch on that cutie pie of mine!

We were lucky enough to have friends that took pictures and video, and those that helped with keeping Fishstick cool, calm and making funny faces to the audience. It wouldn't be a picture or group there of without a goober one from the 'stick'

To my surprise, when walking down the isle the Reverend that we had rehearsal with the day before is NOT standing at the Alter. Oh no, it's this turd-tastic guy that is very used car salesman like when getting you to book the Chapel. It wouldn't have been a problem, except that he totally bombed our service. We had opted for our own vows, a unity candle, and a mellow Unitarian type service. What we got- a few Bible verses, a lot of "Jesus" and "Lord"'s, a "Father, Son and the Holy Ghost", no unity candle and our vows forgotten about.....
Luckily we made it through it and got the big ole smooch in there! (Thank goodness he didn't forget about that!)

After all kinds of pictures, that I cannot wait to see (because Tracy Olsen rocks the shutter like no other) we made our way to our reception. It was beautiful, perfect, exactly what I had pictured in my head for the past six months! And it was FULL of people we love. You can't get much better than that! I heard that the food was great, the bar was hopping, and our DJ played fantastic music!

The cake was so pretty, and I also heard it tasted fantastic! We were almost nice to one another when cutting it, but somehow we both ended up with frosting all over our faces, and yes the Groom decided to lick it off my face....... sticky much??? LOL

After the reception, our carriage- a Cabby on a bike- Smiley- came to get us to take us to the after party we planned at the Starline. Ticket to Ride was the band, and my goodness it was AWESOME! Beatles music, drinking, dancing, laughs and hugs. The perfect ending to a crazy day.

We are dancing and schmoozing and having a grand time, when these two end up on stage, deja vu style from this past Rogue festival. They have pirated our Unity candle and our vows from the Chapel. They pulled us up on stage with Dezzie and Nic to say our vows and light our Unity candle. It was amazing!


After getting family members into cars and saying a few good byes- we got a chance to step back and relax for a few before getting ready to go to our hotel room for the night... no nothing funny like that- we ordered a pizza and went to bed! LOL

Sunday was brunch with family and friends, opening a few gifts and hitting the road to Tahoe for a week to bask in our wedded bliss. It was beautiful. We talked about the whole adventure from pre wedding to where we are now the entire time we were gone. The sun shining, the water so blue.



And now back in the swing of things we are having a blast, kickin it with the kitties and getting back into our baseball watching and relaxing. But here we are- The Fishsticks!

A big huge ginormous thank you to all that attended, took pictures, laughed, drank, danced and helped out so much with everything. You guys have no idea how much we love you for all that you do for us!

And I'm spent...

The wedding was awesome- and snafoo's just made it that much more memorable. Thank you so much to everyone that was there, that helped and that took all kinds of pictures!

I'll write a full on blog of events later, but just wanted to say hi! :)

Not understanding...

That's about where I've been now for two days. Yes I am planning a wedding, yes it will be stressful, yes I have been more organized than ever with this whole process. So why then is it so stressful? Outside influences/ obsticles/ people/ words.

Not that outside mind you, they are from family. A family that I put all of my love and free time into because they are my family, because I love them enough to do that. What do you need- okay I'm there, I can't be there in 2 hours how about 3? You're down in the dumps, let me take us for pretty toes...

Yesterday was especially difficult. I run so hard and so long sometimes, and need to not, but am never "allowed" not to by the family. When things are done for me, I day thanks more than I probably should and am always answered with not a "you're welcome" but with "you had better be, especially with how much money and time was spent on you."

I stopped asking for anything. My wants and needs are simple. I have asked very little of them with the up coming events and still get shit. They were upset with this because I wouldn't let them control how my one day was going to be, the fact that what Fishstick and I want is simple and fun. No no no that's not how it is to be.

I'm a fish swimming upstream, against the crowd most of the time. I don't do the status quoe it's just not me. I don't feel like I need to be a sheep and to do something just because it's "the way things are done"- f That.

Talking to a girlfriend last night made me realize how lucky I am that I get to start my own family. That we get to set a pace, set the mood for how our family is- although it's just us and the kitties, small but filled with so much love.

Friendship, love, listening, patience and consideration for one another. That's what I want. Guilt and greed are horrid. They make me cringe and make my tummy hurt, as well as my heart.

I can't change them, I can however distance myself. But I can make my new forming family something people are going to want to be with.

Since we were small, my sister has always been so very driven, so focused on everything. It started with tap dancing, then school, then ballet, running for student government, SAT scores, getting into college, and finally maintaining as a college student. Now shes looking at post grad programs to jump into.
She has always been a bit more black and white, level headed- I'm the emotional one. I haven't ever envied something more in a person.
It has taken me so much longer to find a prize to keep my eye on, and to work my ass of for it.
So heres to Nanner, and her focus, and to me finding mine! :)

SAN FRANCISCO -- Giants manager Bruce Bochy was perturbed enough to get ejected for arguing a seventh-inning balk call that generated what proved to be the Colorado Rockies' winning run.
But overall, Bochy probably felt more upset over the Giants' poor baserunning that offset their 10 hits, including four for extra bases, in a 3-2 loss Tuesday night.
"This is one that we probably let get away from us," Bochy said.
The Giants' evening unraveled in both halves of the seventh. Tim Lincecum (4-1), bidding to become the only Giants pitcher in the team's San Francisco history other than John Burkett (1993) to start 5-0 in the season's first month, was trying to preserve a 2-2 tie when matters turned unusual.
Chris Iannetta doubled leading off and moved to third base on Clint Barmes' sacrifice bunt. As Lincecum prepared to throw a 1-0 pitch to Yorvit Torrealba, catcher Bengie Molina threw up his arms to signal a request for time out. Plate umpire Gary Darling responded by also waving his arms calling a balk on Lincecum, enabling Iannetta to score. Bochy argued with Darling and was ejected after a three-minute harangue.
"Lincecum flinched," Darling told a pool reporter. "Bengie was giving him the signs, then he started, stopped. Bengie tried to cover for his starting and stopping, called time. I went time with Bengie and then enforced the balk from starting and stopping."
It never occurred to Lincecum that he did anything that might be interpreted as a balk. All he knew was he saw a bunch of hands flailing behind home plate.
"It was almost simultaneous," Lincecum said. "Bengie started to get up and that's when the umpire called time out. It was right when I took my step back. I wasn't even into my motion yet."
Said a relatively calm Bochy, "I still don't understand it."
Bochy pressed for an explanation from Darling just a little too hard.
"He wanted me to get together with the crew and there was no reason to get together with the crew," Darling said. "I said, 'You've had your say' and blah blah blah. He didn't curse me or anything. It was a big enough play that he thought he needed to get run, I guess."
The Giants' baserunning lapses in the bottom of the inning were just as significant.
Facing Rockies starter Aaron Cook (4-1), pinch-hitter Randy Winn lined a leadoff double off the right-field wall. But Winn was thrown out trying to advance to third on Fred Lewis' grounder to shortstop Clint Barmes.
"He just didn't get a good read on that ball," Bochy said.
Winn claimed that he was trying to be aggressive.
"In hindsight, I wouldn't have gone, but I didn't have that luxury at the time," he said. "I tried to get a good secondary [lead], the ball was hit kind of at me, a little bit to my left, and usually that's a ball that you try to go on. But the ball was well-hit by Freddie. Barmes came up and made a good throw. He had to kind of throw it over me and he did."
Lewis stole second base and moved to third on Eugenio Velez's single to left field, renewing the Giants' hopes. Then Velez was picked off first base. Cook struck out Ray Durham to end the inning, hastening the end of Colorado's four-game losing streak.
"We can't get picked off in that situation," Bochy said, referring to Velez's gaffe.
That wasn't all. The Giants scored twice in the first inning but might have enjoyed a more fruitful output had Lewis not been thrown out at home on an ill-advised double-steal attempt with Velez dashing from first base.
"Freddie broke late there," said Bochy, who confirmed that the play was not planned.
Lincecum lacked his electric stuff -- he struck out only four in seven innings after entering the game with 36 in 29 1/3 innings -- but muted the Rockies with the help of three double plays. His primary nemesis was Ianetta, the backup catcher who made his first Major League appearance at third base after shortstop Troy Tulowitzki strained his left quadriceps, forcing multiple infield moves. Ianetta homered in the second inning besides igniting Colorado's seventh.
"That kid pitched well enough to win tonight," Bochy said of Lincecum. "We had our chances. We had a couple of mistakes and didn't execute well. That's the difference in a game like that."



I love baseball. It's my all time favorite sport to watch, except when home plate umps have their head's shoved so far up their rears.
It's pretty easy- it's a time out or a balk- NOT goddamnfothermuckingsomeofaturding both!!!!!! I haven't ever wished a pitcher to slip and hit an ump in the head with a 95 mph fast ball before in my life, but last night that was something I yelled at the tv!

Figure it out guys- I wanna see killer fair baseball!

What a weekend..

Saturday my mother and two family friends threw me an amazing bridal shower. It was a blast! (Although I do now own half a Porn store- thank you Solitare and Cadie!) I don't have pictures yet because I pulled a blonde moment and left my camera at home, but will post pictures when I get em! :)

The weather was a bit warm but so tolerable, the food was super yummy, and the friends were more amazing that I could have imagined. I am not the kind of person that likes to be in the spotlight, I prefer to be in the back checking everything out, so having a party just for me was different. It was great. Everyone seemed to have a lovely time, and it's nice to see people from different areas of my life interacting with one another!

I got so many gifts, household stuff and not-so-household stuff and I am still blown away. I have thank you notes to write, and it just doesn't seem like enough. I can't say thank you enough to these women. You guys are amazing, thank you so much for being so excited for Fishstick and I on our new journey!

Everything is coming together nicely. Fishstick bought his suit 2 weeks ago- it is BEAUTIFUL. He spent more on it than he had planned, but will have it forever.

I needed to get away this past weekend, and a very dear friend of mine was getting married this past Saturday. But due to where the wedding was located and the cost to venture to it, we passed. We did however spend 1/3 of what we would have and went up into the hills for the weekend.

It was much needed and I feel a million times more relaxed and ready to get down to brass tacks on a few things.

All around life is good. The kitties are happy, errands need to be run, and I just might lose my mind at some point. But I am hopeful that I will keep it together- and wine just might help that! LOL

Busy Busy...still

Rouge 2008 is over- and seemed quite successful on many levels, but there are always kinks to work out. I've already begun 2009 stuff because I am going to be busy with wedding stuff, family things and just general craziness!
It was so awesome to meet new people, re connect with a few I haven't seen in a while and to become closer to people that make me smile. It's always interesting when social circles transform from one group of people to the next. There are always those people that are still part, but the major morph brings new people and ideas into the center of your life- even if just for a short time.

I had a run in with my left ovary 2 days after Rogue started that couch ridden me for almost 5 days. Glad to say that it and I have reconciled under the condition that I poke it with a fork the next time it decides to be a bastard. I hate when my body kicks me, but it's usually at a time that is needed. Too much stress or I get myself worked up about something or things that don't really matter in the grand scheme of things and I get kicked back a few notches and told to calm down.

After a few conversations I have had with various people and various things that are going on with people, I am very happy to be in the place that I am in. I am comfortable with my living environment, my mate, my social circle, friends and family. I try not to sweat the small stuff (though sometimes it may not seems small). I try to let things roll and try not to yell and scream about things. Try to see the flowers as beautiful though they are killing my allergies, and trying to love the Tower even though I'm convinced the volume level has risen about 10 notches in the past few weeks.

Sometimes big things happen and we are expected to flip out a bit, but you can't flip out about every little nothing bull shit thing that happens. Gotta take a breath and make it happen, make it good, see the positive.

The biggest thing I think that I have realized as of late is how much Fishstick means to me. You're great butthead. Thanks for everything always (sometimes I don't feel like I say that enough)

So here's to a kick ass 2008 festival, the hopes for an even better one in 2009, not sweating the small stuff and having great people in our lives!

They are amazing!!!! I met with my mom and the head florist at Fresno State last night. It's a done deal- the deposit check goes in Tuesday.

I am so very happy. Got an amazing quote and had a chance to browse their work. The other cool part- they grow most of the flowers at the school!!!!

I'm super stoked about my bouquet- it's a white glad composite- basically means that they take a ton of petals off of the stocks and put them back together to make this huge lacy looking flower for me to carry!!!!

I like being busy but sometimes get myself a bit over whelmed. I have been dealing with a few issues in the daily that I am hoping will be resolved very very soon. On a positive note, fishstick and I are headed to my Aunt and Uncles house today to wish my cousin Brandon Miller a great farewell as he heads off the Spring Training! This will be his second season playing A ball for the Rockies! The kick ass part of training- he gets to do it with the big boys! So flippin cool!!!!! I'm stoked baseball season is almost here- it is my love, the thing that makes me so content in life, and it's almost here. Along with the fact that I get to see the Giants/ Grizzlies exhibition game in March here at the stadium!

So yeah that's about that!
